Abstract art is a style of painting which deals with colors,forms and textures. Students experiment with cool and warm hues and color mixing and layering, exploring textures and patterns by using different techniques and materials. Learn to interpret realistic scenes into forms, moods and colors. Abstract painting will help you gain more freedom and looseness with your brush strokes, and to become more effective and expressive.

CLASS MEETS ON THURSDAYS 2:00-4:00 P.M.

Learn the techniques of drawing. Capture forms, shapes, values, perspective, measurements, edges, and composition. Students will develop new observation skills which will help them to be able to draw what they see for beginning and advance students.

ADULT art classes - no experience required!

Enjoy the best of both worlds--the individual help and focus of a private lesson, and the camaraderie and beneficial information given to other artists.  Students work at their own pace with the subject matter that interests them, and will learn techniques that will accelerate their abilities regardless of experience. In our classes students can work on either drawing, oil or acrylic painting. Students are allowed to switch back and forth between media. 

We also offer private art lessons, that can be customized according to your interests.

Oil and Acrylic Painting

You will learn all of the basics of painting, such as laying out your palette, mixing colors, under painting, using medium, brush handling, blending, properly layering paint, creating visual and physical textures. This class is perfect for beginners and a great environment for experienced painters wanting to advance to their next level.
